VF-VAM: VESICULAR ARBUSCULAR MYCORRHIZAL FUNGI  

Vesicular Arbuscular Mycorrhiza(VAM) is a fungus Which has symbiotic association With plant root system and has ability to dissolve the phosphates found in abundance in the soil and increase the availability of phosphorus(P). VAM also has been shown to enhance the uptake of Ca, Cu, Mn, S and Zn in addition to P. It can be used by way of applying to the roots, by mixing with FYM/Vermicompost. VAM is also responsible in overall improving growth of host plant by mobilizing nutrients, production of growth promoting substances, and tolerance to drought. salinity and by synergistic interactions with other beneficial microorganisms. VAM can associate with most crop species including Cereals, Pulses, Vegetables, Fruit, Flower, Plantation, Forest crops thus making it a potent choice for sustainable agriculture.
